Great place to let you dog run loose. Most other dogs are well behaved. Remember to clean up after your pup and keep a constant eye on them to make sure they stay out of trouble. You'll need a permit to gain access.

Very large fenced in area divided into smaller small dogs fenced area to the right of the enclosed entrance and the majority of area for large dogs. Park attendant present. Open every day except holidays and inclement weather.

Don't know whether I will go back, the other dog owners have all been friendly and the park is clean, but once the ball got put away some of the dogs started wrestling and the behavior was borderline. Without a good game of fetch to burn off some energy I was concerned the dogs were going to escalate so we left.

My husband and I took our Briard puppy to the park the other day. I agree, it's a great park and well kept. We realized that we didn't have our permit, but inquired with other dog owners, so we would get our permits before coming back. The fellow dog owner shared that my dog would need to be neutered if we wanted a permit. I think not. Two primary reasons: he's a show dog and we are contemplating breeding him. Also, for health reasons male dogs should not be neutered until 1.5 yrs of age. While I commend those looking after the park and would be more than happy to pay for permit...it's not reasonable or fair that well behaved dogs with responsible owners should not be allowed to play in the park with their in tact males. Very disappointing!

Dog friendly, wonderful clean, sandy area, dogs love the freedom to run & play and simply be a dog! Kudos to their owners who love and care enough to bring their dogs outside to exercise and socialize. Please be sure to pick up after your dog!

Nice park, good sized open area for dogs to run & play. Very surprised to be told by the attendant that I could not have a tennis ball in the park. He said they don't allow toys because dogs can become possessive and it can create problems. I find that a thrown ball can easily distract dogs that are playing rough. His suggestion was to throw some of the many pine cones that were found on the ground. I think I would rather be in a park with flying tennis balls instead of flying pine cones.
